VaccJect is a safe, simple and cost effective cartridge-based alternative to a prefilled syringe. Fully passive needle retraction is integrated in the device. It is unique in that the needle is never exposed, either before or after injection.

The drug is contained in a standard ISO cartridge and is kept separate from the device until point of use. This greatly reduces cold-chain shipping and storage costs and eliminates the need for secondary packaging at the pharmaceutical facility.
